More attentions have been attracted to the relationship between vegetation and c limate by geographers, ecologists, which has been listed one of core projects of IGBP. In this paper, the main progresses of researches on responses of vegetati on to climate change are reflected from the three temporal scales of past, curre nt and future, especially, the basic regimes of impacts of future climate change to vegetation are set forth.
