Iranian motorcyclist was killed in bid to set daredevil record--trying to jump over 22 buses. However, just before his attempt, he was full of confidence and had a strong willing to make a contribution to his homeland. We shouldn’t deny that he was a brave man indeed as well as an unfortunate guy. In fact, many people who always participate in such kind of challenging games or extreme sports share the characteristics more than curiosity and self-confidence. They hold a dream or a goal they’ve once made or promised to realize, maybe by no reason. To them, the definition of success is reaching that goal without any pity, even ignoring the importance of their valuable lives. So this phenomenon leads to a series of questions to ordinary people. With the increasing number of people, especially teenagers who devote their part time to extreme sports, more and more people have began to consider the advantages and disadvantages of extreme sports and some relative effects made by these fashion sports like bungee, skateboarding, etc., to the whole society.
There will be different answers for this discussion from individual to individual and from circumstance to circumstance. In my opinion, as human beings who are bearing duties and having families, we should think deeply and carefully before make a decision of whether we should enter the world of adventures and dangers. Me for example, as a high school student, what I should do now is, somewhat limited by my surroundings such as many excellent students in my school, the ardent expect of entering one of the best universities from my parents and teachers, and the most important--living a meaningful and productive life as I wished. As a conclusion, I concentrate on learning and trying my best in the College Entrance Examination in the near future. Undoubtedly, it’s true that I won’t have time or chance to come to an extreme sport.
As a matter of fact, it’s totally different when it comes to a person who won’t need to worry much about his/her work, family or living standard. Those people, including bosses of grand companies, white-color workers and so on, may be sick of the dull life they live every day, they need some vivid colors to decorate the boring state although they earn large sums of money. Hence, only by trying to taste the feeling of doing extreme and dangerous sports, could they feel great, at least, just as their origin purpose, they fade away from the ordinary life, even ignoring all the duties they should have for the family as well as the society. What’s more, most of they won’t know how worried their families are when they are in the extreme sports. In addition, many teenagers have the willing of experiencing extreme sports for many various reasons. Some may learn how to cooperate with others in a sport, some may want to explore the harmony, beauty and thrills of extreme sports made by themselves, others may simply show off to others.
It’s hard to predict whether I will be a member of fans of extreme sports. However, my family won’t worry about my safety, I guarantee, if I would try an extreme sport. As we all know, everyone has the duty of make his/her parents and relatives feel safe and rest assured about his/her activities, no matter when and where.
For some record holders of certain kinds of the extreme sports like the Iranian motorcyclist, are fortunate. Anyway, in my eyes, because of the positive attitude of their family, they could break records and set new ones in a row. Nowadays, it is not accepted by all the people partly for the reason that it goes against some basic moral rules they’ve obeyed so long in their mind.
People who choose extreme sports as one of their hobbies must have the courage to face the coming of death at any time. With the sacred attitude to my life, I suggest that anyone who is interested in doing something that he/she dare not or have no chance to do before should not bet his/herlife in a game. It could be seen clearly what we should treasure most, instead of just a meaningless attempt.
